About Ted - Growing Up
Ted was raised in the rural town of Wahiawa on Oahu. He attended public schools there and graduated from Leilehua High School in 1975. His first job was picking pineapple for the Dole Pineapple Plantation, where he learned the lessons that only hard, manual labor could teach. He continued working there during summers to help pay for his college education and first year of Law School. Ted’s also worked as a Classroom Cleaner at Wahiawa Elementary School. These early jobs taught him respect for others and to never ask other people to do what you were not willing to do yourself.
